BID OPENING

Sealed Proposals for the following project:

WEBSTER CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT 2023 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT LOW VOLTAGE CONSTRUCTION

 

Must arrive by mail or be hand delivered to the Webster Central School District Buildings and Grounds Building located at 110 Sanford Street, Webster, NY 14580 by 2:00 pm on May 19th, 2025. Bids can also be dropped off at the bid opening location directly prior to bid. The bid opening will take place at 2:00 pm on May 19th,2025 at 110 Sanford Street, Webster NY 14580 at the Building and Grounds Storage Building where they will be publicly read aloud.


Bids must be made in writing on the forms furnished. Bids can be mailed or hand delivered to:

CONTRACT TYPE

This bid includes one (1) Lump Sum Prime Contract: Contract #206- Low Voltage Construction


PROJECT DESCRIPTION

New addition to building. Conversion of office into two single user toilet rooms on second floor. Reconstruction of site work including bus loop and new electrical school sign. New additional pole barn. Replacement of door panels. Remodeling of existing Main Office space.


CONTRACT TIME

The date of commencement of the Work shall be within five (5) calendar days of the date of Notice to Proceed.

The Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of the entire Work not later December 15th, 2026.

BID DOCUMENTS

 

Drawings and Specifications will be available for pick up April 28th at Rotolite-Elliott Corporation, One Grove Street, Suite 123, Pittsford, New York 14534 upon receipt of a bid deposit of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each set of documents requested. Checks shall be made payable to Webster Central School District.

Bid documents, if requested, will be mailed to Bidders upon receipt of deposit and reimbursement for the cost of mailing. Mailing fee for one set is $35.00 for UPS delivery. Check shall be payable to Webster Central School District.

Plan Holders List will ONLY be available at the Dodge Reports, Rotolite Elliot and Builders Exchange of Rochester. Subcontractors interested in obtaining Plan Holders List shall contact the Rotolite Elliot directly.

PRE-BID MEETING

No pre-bid meetings or walk-throughs will be scheduled. If a bidder wishes to visit the site, they must contact Blake Hart (contact information above) to arrange an appointment. Bidders are advised that anyone arriving onsite without a pre-scheduled appointment will not be permitted to enter any District buildings and will be asked to leave District property until an appointment has been made.

REJECTION AND ACCEPTANCE OF BIDS

The OWNER hereby reserves the right to waive any informality and reject any or all bids or to accept the one that, in its judgment, will be in the best interest of the OWNER.

BID SECURITY

A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany the bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

NONCOLLUSIVE BIDDING CERTIFICATE

A non-collusive bidding certificate shall be included on each bid.

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION

Bidder must be registered with NYSDOL’s Contractor Registry. A copy of the Bidder’s Certificate of

Registration shall be included with each bid.

PREVAILING WAGE RATES

This is a prevailing wage rate job. 

RETURN OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS

Any Bidder, upon returning the Bidding Documents in good condition within thirty (30) days after date set for Bid opening will be refunded his deposit.
