ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

The Borough of Elkland is soliciting bids for the 2024 Sewer Rehabilitation Program.

Sealed Bids will be received, publicly opened and read at the following place and time:

Place: Elkland Borough Office

105 Parkhurst Street

Elkland, Pennsylvania 16920

Date: April 7, 2025

Time: 2:00 pm, local time

The project generally consists of repairs and rehabilitation to 17 or more sanitary sewer manhole

structures in the Borough of Elkland, Pennsylvania. Rehabilitation may include using various

methods including, but not limited to, sealing, plugging, cleaning, spray applied polyurea, glass-fiber

reinforced polyester liners, grouting, grade adjustment, spot repair, reconstruction, or replacement to

eliminate infiltration and provide corrosion resistance. Work may be on frames and covers,

chimneys, corbel/cone, walls, inverts, or base.

The foregoing is a general outline of work only and shall not be construed as a complete description

of the work to be performed under this contract.

Plans and specifications are available for inspection at the following location(s) and may be obtained

upon payment of fifty ($50) dollars, payable to the Borough of Elkland, for each set of documents

requested.

If you would like Plans and Specifications mailed to you, please enclose an additional, nonrefundable,

check for twenty-five ($25) per set made payable to Rotolite Elliott. This option is only

available through Rotolite Elliott.

Bidding Documents also may be examined online with an online payment by visiting

www.recplanroom.com (click Public Jobs under the Menu Tab on the left-hand side of the plan room

homepage). Once you are in the public plan room, please select the link for the Elkland 2024 Sewer

Rehabilitation Program.

The successful bidder(s) must self-perform at a minimum 50% of the contracted work.

Bids must be made in writing on the forms furnished and shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee

for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid in accordance with the

INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS.

The Borough of Elkland is exempt under Pennsylvania Tax law, and therefore, no sales tax on the

cost of materials incorporated into the project shall be included in the bid.

The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and labor and

material bonds in accordance with the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS.

The Borough of Elkland reserves the right to consider the bids for forty-five (45) days after receiving

before awarding any contract. The Borough further reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and

to accept any Proposal or individual item or items, which it may deem to be the most favorable to its

best interests.

information submitted after this date/time may not receive a response.
