Village of Avon Five Arch Bridge Phase 2 Repairs

SECTION 00 00 20 - INVITATION FOR BIDS

The Village of Avon herein known as “Owner,” will receive sealed bids for Phase 2 Repairs of the Five Arch Bridge on Avon-Geneseo Rd, Avon New York. Bids will be received until 2:00pm, Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at the Village of Avon, Village Offices located at 74 Genesee Street, Avon, New York 14414. The project will be bid with prevailing wage rates. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Bidding and Contract Documents. Each bidder must submit a complete Form of Proposal. Bidders must have a minimum of 5 years successful experience in completion of similar projects for State, National or locally registered landmarks.

This project is funded in part by a grant from the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation through Title 9 of the Environmental Protection Act of 1993. Under Article 15A, Executive Law, the State of New York is committed to providing Minority and Women Owned Business (MWBE) equal opportunity to participate in government contracts. Though there are no required goals for MWBE participation in this grant funded project, the successful bidder will be required to make a Good Faith Effort in the utilization of MWBE's and furnish reports showing the participation of various business enterprises of subcontractors and suppliers on the contract.

Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by depositing $50 for each set of documents. Deposit checks are payable to the Village of Avon. Each deposit will be refunded to bidders submitting a complete bid if the Contract Documents are returned to the Owner intact, clean, and unaltered within 10 days of the bid opening. Bidding Documents may be downloaded for a non-refundable fee of $49.

Bidding Documents will be available for viewing at Builders Exchange of Rochester.

There will be a pre-bid meeting Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 2:00pm at the project location. All Bidders are required to visit the site and familiarize themselves with the project requirements.
