SECTION 001112 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (N.Y. PUBLIC WORK)
THE SOUTHWESTERN CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT
Invites bids for GENERAL CONSTRUCTION, PLUMBING, MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, and ROOFING Work for the 2021 CIP – Phase II, located at 600 Hunt Road, W.E., Jamestown, New York, 14701.
Separate sealed bids will be received by Southwestern Central School District at the District Office, until 2:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday June 13, 2023 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to ensure that the bid is received at the designated location prior to the designated time for opening bids.
Bidding Documents may be examined in the Office of the Architect/Engineer, CPL, at 2626 West State Street, Suite 213, Olean, NY 14760 or at the Facilities Director’s Office in the Southwestern CSD Elementary Building (Contact Steve Olson, (716) 490-1589, solson@swcsk12.org).
Printed copies of Bidding Documents will be available as of Monday, May 8th, 2023. Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained at: Rotolite Elliott Corporation, One Grove Street – P.O. Box 97, Pittsford, New York, 14534, phone (585)-385-1463, upon deposit of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) per complete set. Bid deposit checks shall be made payable to Southwestern Central School District and mailed to Rotolite-Elliott Corporation at the address provided above. (Credit card payments will not be accepted).
All bid document requests can be completed through the www.recplanroom.com in advance for pickup and or shipping from Rotolite-Elliott Corporation. (Visit the www.recplanroom.com and click on, All public Jobs, under the Menu Tab on the left hand side of the planroom home page, select Southwestern CSD Capital Improvement Project, add to cart and proceed to check out)
In Lieu of paper bid sets, bidders can view and download electronic plans and specifications online upon a $59.00 non-refundable payment by visiting www.recplanroom.com. Just click All public Jobs, under the Menu Tab on the left hand side of the planroom home page, select Southwestern CSD Capital Improvement Project. (Upon download, said entity will be added as a legitimate plan holder on the job and will receive electronic files of any bid addendums issued throughout the bidding process

A Pre-Bid Meeting for the Project will be conducted by the Architect/Engineer on Thursday May 25, 2023, at 10:00am, local time, in the High School Multipurpose Room.
The Southwestern Central School District hereby reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any or all Bids or to accept the one that in its judgment will be in the best interest of Southwestern Central School District.
NOTE: The awarding of bidder’s Contract will be subject to the approval of the New York State Education Department.
A Bid Bond or Certified Check in the amount of five percent (5%) of Base Bid is required and must accompany proposal. Performance Bond and Labor Material Payment Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of Contract Sum are required to be delivered at time Contract is signed with Owner.
Attention of the Bidder is particularly called to the following:
1. The Owner’s sales tax exemption.
2. The minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract.
3. The requirements pertaining to certification of Non-Collusion in preparation of proposals submitted for this Project.
No bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five (45) days after date of bid opening.
Bidders will comply with New York State prevailing wage and supplement requirements.
