SECTION 001113 – INVITATION TO BIDDERS BID OPENING Sealed Proposals for the following project: WEBSTER CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT 2018 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT Bids will be received at the Webster Central School District Administration Building located at 110 Sanford Street, Webster, NY 14580 until 10 A.M. on Thursday, December 8th. Bid opening will take place at 10:00 A.M. in Webster Building and Grounds where they will be publicly read aloud. Bids must be made in writing on the forms furnished. Bids can be mailed or hand delivered to: Webster Central School District 110 Sanford Street Webster, NY 14580 Contract # and Name and Project Name Should Be Noted On Outside of Envelope CONTRACT TYPE This project will proceed under four (4) Lump Sum Prime Contracts including: Contract # 300 – General Trades/General Construction Work Contract # 301 – Mechanical (HVAC) Contract # 302 – Plumbing Contract # 303 – Electrical PROJECT DESCRIPTION Faculty restroom renovations, gym floor refinishing, security vestibule and film at Thomas High School. CONTRACT TIME The date of commencement of the Work shall be within five (5) calendar days of the date of Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of the entire Work not later December 29th 2023. Checks shall be made payable to Webster Central School District. Bid documents, if requested, will be mailed to Bidders upon receipt of deposit and reimbursement for the cost of mailing. Mailing fee for one set is $35.00 for UPS delivery. Check shall be payable to Webster Central School District. Bid documents may also be examined at the following locations: F.W. Subcontractors interested in obtaining Plan Holders List shall contact the Dodge Reports directly PRE-BID MEETING Pre-Bid Meetings and walk-throughs will be held on November 23rd at 1 p.m at Thomas High School, 500 Five Mile Line Rd., Webster, NY 14580. All Bidders are urged to attend the Pre-Bid Meetings and walk-throughs. In case the Bidder is unable to attend the on-site pre-bid walk-through, a separately scheduled walk-through can be arranged with the Construction Manager and the School District’s Buildings and Grounds Department. Bidders are warned that if they arrive onsite without a prescheduled appointment on any day other than the Pre-bid Meeting and walk-through dates and time, they will not be admitted to any of the District buildings and will be asked to leave the District property until such time that an appointment has been made. All Bidders are urged to attend the Pre-Bid Meetings and walk-throughs. REJECTION AND ACCEPTANCE OF BIDS The OWNER hereby reserves the right to waive any informality and reject any or all bids or to accept the one that, in its judgment, will be in the best interest of the OWNER. BID SECURITY A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany the bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. NONCOLLUSIVE BIDDING CERTIFICATE A non-collusive bidding certificate shall be included on each bid. PREVAILING WAGE RATES This is a prevailing wage rate job. RETURN OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS Any Bidder, upon returning the Bidding Documents in good condition within thirty (30) days after date set for Bid opening will be refunded his deposit.
