INVITATION TO BID – CACC Site Work

1.1 PROJECT INFORMATION
A. Notice to Bidders: Qualified bidders are invited to submit bids for Project as described in this
Document according to the Instructions to Bidders.
B. Project Identification: Canandaigua City School District 2020 Capital Improvement Project, Phase

F. Project Description: Project consists of exterior site improvements to the Academic and Career Center.
G. Construction Contract: The entire project will consist of the following contracts:
1. Multiple Contract Project consisting of the following prime contracts:
a. Contract No. 13 Site Construction Work Prime Contract (SC-2B)
H. Bids will be received for the Contract No. 13 Site Construction Work
I. RFI’s are due to Jessie Woughter (jwoughter@labellapc.com) by April 21st, 2022 at 5pm to be
answered and included in the final addendum.

1.2 BID SUBMITTAL AND OPENING
A. Owner will receive sealed bids until the bid time and date at the location indicated below. Owner will
consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered
as follows:
1. Bid Date: April 28th, 2022
2. Bid Time: 1:00 PM local time.
3. Location: Attn. Mike McClain, Canandaigua City School District, Operations Center, 5500
Airport Road, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
4. Sealed proposals are to be labeled as follows:

B. Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud.

1.3 BID SECURITY
A. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount and form per the conditions provided in
Instructions to Bidders. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after opening
of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.

1.4 PREBID CONFERENCE
A Site Visit’s: Are available and will need to be arranged with Turner Construction: Mike Giso

1.5 DOCUMENTS
A. Drawings and Specifications will be available for pick up April 7th, 2022 at Rotolite Elliott: One
Grove Street – Suite 123 Pittsford, New York 14534 upon receipt of a bid deposit of One Hundred
Dollars ($100.00) for each set of documents requested. Checks shall be made payable to Canandaigua
City School District.
Bid documents, if requested, will be mailed to Bidders upon receipt of deposit and reimbursement
for the cost of mailing. Mailing fee for one set is $35.00 for UPS delivery. Check shall be payable
to Canandaigua City School District.

Plan Holders List will ONLY be available at the Dodge Reports and Builders Exchange of
Rochester. Subcontractors interested in obtaining Plan Holders List shall contact the Dodge Reports
directly.

1.6 BIDDER’S QUALIFICATIONS
A. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to
obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, a separate Labor and Material
Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successfu

1.7 REJECTION AND ACCEPTANCE OF BIDS
A. The OWNER hereby reserves the right to waive any informality and reject any or all bids or to accept
the one that, in its judgment, will be in the best interest of the OWNER.

1.8 BID SECURITY
A. A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany the bid in accordance
with the Instructions to Bidders

1.9 NONCOLLUSIVE BIDDING CERTIFICATE
A. A non-collusive bidding certificate shall be included on each bid.

1.10 PREVAILING WAGE RATES
A. This is a prevailing wage rate job.
