Proposals for Capital Improvement Project 2021 ; Roofing (Contract No.1 at the East Rochester K-12 Educational Complex will be received by the East Rochester Union Free School District Office, 222 Woodbine Avenue, East Rochester, NY 14445 until 2:00 p.m. local time on May 26, 2021.

The Instructions to Bidders, Form of Proposal, General Conditions and Supplements, Drawings, and Specifications may be obtained at Rotolite-Elliott Corporation, 1 Grove Street, PO Box 97, Pittsford, NY 14534 upon deposit of $50.00 per hard copy set (make check payable to East Rochester Union Free School District) and also available for a non-refundable $59.00 download (Paid directly to Rotolite if preferred) . Drawings and Specifications will be available after 9 a.m. on May 4, 2021.

Any Bidder upon returning such set in good condition within seven (7) days after the date set for Bid opening will be refunded the deposit for hard copy set.

Covid-19 Construction: Construction activities shall comply with NYS guidance and continue as long as each contractor complies with social distancing requirements, cleaning and disinfecting protocols, and all applicable law and protocols in connection with COVID-19 exposure control at the job-site.

East Rochester Union Free School District reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any or all Bids or to accept the one that in its judgment will be for the best interest of the Owner.

A Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Owner in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid, subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders, must be deposited by each Bidder with his Bid as a guarantee that in the case the contract is awarded to him, he will within ten (10) days thereafter, execute such contract and furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond, and that Bidder shall not withdraw his Bid for a period of forty-five (45) days after the above date of Bid opening, and to guarantee the performance of all other obligations of the Bidders as set forth in Instructions to Bidders.

NYS DOL Prevailing Wage applies to this project. The work is tax exempt.

Work shall be commenced and continuously and diligently prosecuted immediately after contracts have been signed.

In order to familiarize Bidders with the project and conditions affecting the work, there will be a Pre-bid meeting May 11, 2021 3:30 PM. Bidders shall meet at East Rochester K-12 Educational Complex-District Office, Administration Board Room at 222 Woodbine Avenue, East Rochester, NY for a question and answer period. All bidders are encouraged to attend. Attendance will be taken.
