NOTICE TO BIDDERS: Bid #18-2404
GREECE CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT – OLYMPIA WATER LINE REPLACEMENT
A separate sealed proposal for the following Contract: Site Construction for the Greece Central School District, “Olympia Water Line Replacement Project”, in accordance with Drawings, Project Manual, and other Bidding and Contract Documents prepared by Clark Patterson Lee, 205 St. Paul Street, Suite 500, Rochester, New York 14604 will be received by the Greece Central School District at the Odyssey Academy (formerly Apollo Middle School), Third Floor Room W13, 750 Maiden Lane, Rochester, New York 14615 until 10:00am local time on June 7, 2018, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Odyssey Academy Room W13. Due to increased building security, all vendors are advised to allow ample time for all hand-delivered bids to be received prior to the 10:00am bid opening. Bidders must enter the building at Door #5 where they will be directed to W13 by security personnel. Bids submitted by mail or by courier service should be sent to Greece Central School District, Purchasing Office, 750 Maiden Lane, Rochester, NY 14615-1296, Attention: Paul Palmer.
The Instructions to Bidders, Form of Proposal, General Conditions and Supplements, Drawings, and
Specifications may be examined at the office(s) of: Rochester Builders Exchange, 180 Linden Oaks, Suite
100, Rochester, NY 14625 or F. W. Dodge, 320 N. Goodman Street, Rochester, NY 14607. Drawings and Specifications will be available after 12:00pm on May 29, 2018. Document copies may be obtained from Rotolite-Elliott Corp., 1 Grove Street, P.O. Box 97, Pittsford, New York, 14534 (585-385-1463 telephone, 585-385-2190 fax) upon deposit of $25.00 per set. Deposit shall be in the form of (1) $25.00 check per set made payable to Greece Central School District. Bidders may supply a UPS/FedEx shipping number to Rotolite Elliott, Corp., otherwise provide a separate, non-refundable check of $20.00 per set for shipping and handling made payable to Rotolite-Elliott Corp.
Bids shall be submitted in triplicate on the form provided in the documents, prepared and set forth in the Instructions to Bidders and enclosed in an envelope bearing on its face the name and address of the bidder and the title of work to which the proposal relates.
Under General Municipal Law 102(2), the Owner shall return the entire amount of the deposit submitted
by each successful and unsuccessful bidder whose bid is accompanied by required bid security, upon the proper return of one set of plans and specifications. If an unsuccessful bidder obtains more than one set of plans, the Owner, upon the successful return of all additional sets, shall also return an amount equal to the deposit for one of the additional sets of plans and specifications less the cost of reproducing the set.
If a nonbidder properly returns all sets of the plans and specifications, the Owner shall return an amount equal to the deposit for one set less the cost of reproducing the set. Sets to be returned to Rotolite Elliott, Corp.
The Board of Education hereby reserves the right to waive any informality and reject any or all Bids or to accept the one that in its judgment will be for the best interest of the school district.

A Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Owner in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid, subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders, must be submitted by each Bidder with
their Bid as a guarantee that in the case of the contract being awarded to them, they will within five (5)
days thereafter, execute such contract and furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond, and that Bidder shall not withdraw their Bid for a period of forty-five (45) days after the above date of Bid opening, and to guarantee the performance of all other obligations of the Bidders as set forth in Instructions to Bidders. Attention of the Bidders is called to the requirements as to the conditions of employment and minimum wage rates to be paid under this Contract as well as to other provisions set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Work shall be commenced and continuously and diligently prosecuted immediately after contracts have been signed.
