SECTION 000112 – ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Town of Brighton, Monroe County, New York will receive sealed bids for the work associated with the proposed replacement of siding at the Town of Brighton Operations Center Storage Facility.

The work consists principally of repairs to damaged sheet metal and replacement of the siding system at the Operations Center Storage Facility. The work to be performed under one prime contract.
The foregoing is a general outline of work only and shall not be construed as a complete description of the work to be performed under each contract. Plans and Specifications are available for inspection only at the above location.
Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by Prime Contractors, Subcontractors and Vendors, at Rotolite Elliott upon deposit of Twenty-Five ($25.00) per set, all Bid Deposit checks shall be made out to Town of Brighton. Include, in addition to the document deposit, a non-refundable check in the amount of Thirty-Five Dollars ($35.00) per set for handling and postage of sets to be mailed. All checks shall be made payable to Rotolite Elliott. Alternatively, bidders can provide their UPS or FedEx shipper # for shipment of bid documents.
In lieu of paper bid sets, bidders can view electronic plans and specifications online upon a Forty-Nine Dollars ($49.00) nonrefundable payment by visiting www.recplanroom.com (Click Public Jobs under the Menu Tab on the left-hand side of the plan room homepage. Once you are in the public plan room please select the link of the Owners name.)
A Pre-Bid Conference for the Project will be conducted by the Architect/Engineer at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, October, 26, 2017 at the Town of Brighton Operations Center 1941 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, NY.
Bids must be made in writing on the forms furnished and shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid in accordance with the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS.
The Town of Brighton is exempt under New York State Tax law, and therefore, no sales tax on the cost of materials incorporated into the project shall be included in the bid.
All prices bid shall be good for a period of sixty (60) days after opening. The Town of Brighton reserves the right to consider bids for sixty (60) days after their receipt before awarding any contract. The Town of Brighton further reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to accept any Proposal or individual item or items, which it may deem to be the most favorable to its best interests.
A non-collusive bidding certificate shall be included with each bid.
The attention of the Bidder is call to the requirements as to the conditions of employment and the minimum wage rates to be paid under this contract.
It is the policy of the State of New York to encourage the greatest possible participation of minority and women-owned business enterprises. The Contractor, by bidding on the contract, acknowledges his or her understanding and support of this policy.
