A. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to the requirements of Section 103-D of the General
Municipal Law, that sealed proposals are requested for the:
South Entrance and Interior Improvements to the Stevens Memorial Community Library, 146
Main St., Attica, NY 14011.
A. The sealed proposals will be received in the Library office at the Stevens Memorial Community Library June 21st until 3:00 pm at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Library Board Room at the same location.
A. Contract No. 1 – General Construction single prime contract including Plumbing / HVAC / Electrical and associated Site Work. Generally includes: Site & interior demolition, foundation excavation & backfill, site improvements, asphalt paving, site concrete, concrete foundations, slabs on grade, masonry, siding, wood framing & trim, epdm roofing, aluminum storefront, doors, hardware, drywall, painting, flooring, specialties, plumbing, hvac, electrical & fire alarm work.
1.4 PROPOSAL SUBMISSION
A. The enclosure containing the proposal shall be endorsed on the outside with the name of the bidder, the business address to which communications may be sent, and be designated that a bid is enclosed. The bid shall be inconformity with specifications that will be furnishings by the undersigned and are available at the following locations for review:
a) Office of the Owner – Stevens Memorial Community Library, 146 Main St. Attica, NY 14011.
b) Dodge Reports/ McGraw Hill – Various locations in major cities.
c) Builders Exchange of Rochester NY – 180 Linden Oaks Drive, Pittsford, NY 14625 d) Construction Exchange of Buffalo & WNY – 2660 William St., Buffalo, NY 14227
1.5 AVAILABILITY OF COPIES OF THE BIDDING AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
A. Starting May 26, 2017, Plans and specifications will be available from Rotolite Elliott Corp., 1
Grove St. Pittsford, NY 14534 (585-385-1463) upon receipt of a check in the amount of
$100.00, payable to the Stevens Memorial Community Library. Unsuccessful bidders who return all bidding and contract documents in proper condition within 30 days of the bid date will
receive a full refund.
B. No bidder may withdrawing his/her bid within forty five (45) calendar days after the opening of the bids. All bids submitted must include a Non-Collusive Bidding Certificate pursuant to the requirements of Section 103-d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York.
1.6 OWNER’S RIGHTS
A. The Stevens Memorial Community Library reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to reject any or all bids and re-advertise at its discretion. Each bidder must deposit with his or her bid, a bid security payable to the The Stevens Memorial Community Library by way of a bid bond or certified check in the amount no less than five (5%) of the base bid subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
1.7 SUCCESSFUL BIDDER
A. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, and a Labor & Material
Payment Bond; each in the amount of 100 percent of the amount of the Contract.
1.8 CONTRACTOR’S REVIEW
A. The attention of the bidders is called to the required as to the conditions of employment and minimum prevailing wage rates to be paid under this Contract.
1.9 PRE-BID PROJECT REVIEW
A. A project review meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Stevens Memorial Community Library. All interested bidders should attend. A walk through of the site shall review the project. Questions and answers will follow the meeting.
A. The Owner is exempt from payment of Federal, State, and Local Taxes and Sales and Compensating Use Taxes of the State of New York and cities and counties on all materials and supplies sold to the Owner pursuant to the provisions of this Contract. These taxes are not to be included in the Bid
